Singer and guitarist Dušan Terkel (1956) was born in Vranov in eastern Slovakia, but "even when he was in the duvet" the parents moved to Kladno. He studied like as a mechanic, and he soon began play more. He learned ancient songs (phurikane giľa) from his father, who was "Mr. Singer" and in the pubs where Dad often accompanied and where "under totalitarianism it was sung everywhere". He learned Romani at the age of twenty years, mainly because of the songs. He has been living with for over fifteen years now family in Hradec Králové. He works as a fitter, but lately stiffens. He swears that he always coughs when he plays.
